Member Categories:

Active: Persons who devote all or substantially all of their time to the practice of public relations

New Professional: Persons who are entering the public relations professions during the first twocalendar years following college graduation

Academic-Faculty: Persons currently teaching public relations courses in accredited Texascolleges or universities

Student: Persons currently enrolled (either full or part-time) in a four-year Texascollege or university and working toward a degree in public relations, journalism or

Military: Persons currently on active duty and who devote all or substantially all of their time tothe practice of public relations

Retired: Persons who have maintained active membership in the association at least fiveconsecutive years and who are engaged in the practice of public relations less than half-time
